Public number
Phaxio offers a public phone number that you can use to test receiving faxes to your Phaxio account. We do not recommend using this number in a production environment and the public number is not subject to any SLA or agreement you or your business enters into with Phaxio. You should not submit protected health information (PHI) or card holder data to the public number.
In order for faxes that are sent to the public number to be routed correctly, you need to include a PhaxCode that was generated by your account. Phaxio can detect which account is associated with a given PhaxCode and will associate incoming calls using this information.
